Well, Term Three is upon us and its Poetry Writing season again! Our thoughts differ as to what poetry is actually all about. Some of us are certain that a song or a nursery rhyme can not possibly be classed as poetry while others of us are certain that poetry is only poetry if it has a clear syllable structure and rhyming pattern. Poetry is a piece of descriptive writing we are certain....but we are unsure what the difference is between descriptive writing and free verse poetry.....only time will tell I guess. It'll have to be a "watch this space".
